The UK's original and most successful family festival comes to Weston Park in Shropshire from 15th - 18th August. Designed by families especially for families their is a whole host of fun activates and top performing artists to see. Coming to Shropshire this year are Paloma Faith, Rick Astley, McFly, Orbital, The Darkness, Sara Cox plus man many more top acts. Set in the beautiful location of Weston Park and just 20 minutes from our holiday cottages.

As we are close to lots of little market towns so you will be spoilt for choice if you like traditional markets. Newport, Market Drayton, Wellington, Wem and Shrewsbury are just a stones throw away and have a mix of indoor & outdoor markets, as well as towns further afield including Newcastle-under-Lyme, Penkridge, Ellesmere, Ludlow, Much Wenlock & Bridgnorth. Wellington also has a late market where you can enjoy food, drinks and live music from 5pm - 10 pm on the last Saturday of the month from June to September. The award winning Shrewsbury market hall is a unique food, drink & shopping destination with cafe's bars and a wide selection of stalls, late night markets are also organised at various time throughout the year.

Shrewsbury flower show is an annual event held over 2 days during August set in the beautiful Quarry area of Shrewsbury town which has the River Severn running along side. With over 35 floral exhibitors, 175 trade stands, lecture marquee, cookery theatre, musicians, bands & choirs plus sheep dog display, farmyard circus, food, drink and not forgetting the amazing firework there is much more than just flowers to enjoy. Children under 15 go free with a full paying adult.
Shropshire's biggest party with live music, comedy lounge, carpool karaoke and a silent disco, plus over 180 real ales, ciders, gin's, wine, cocktails & fizz to choose from as well as non alcoholic drinks and soft drinks and if you get peckish then there is delicious street food and tasty treats to choose from all a Shrewsbury Quarry park.
