Churn Cottage

Churn Cottage is a spacious two bedroom cottage which is completely on the ground floor level, making it ideal for those who are less able or small children. It is also is suitable for assisted wheelchair users – please see Churn Cottage’s access statement for full details. The kitchen/diner is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, 50/50 fridge/freezer, microwave, electric oven & hob. The wet room bathroom has a fantastic large walk-in shower area with a hand held and a large fixed  shower head for a real luxurious feel, the underfloor heating and heated towel radiator give the room a lovely warm feel with no stepping on to cold tiles. The bathroom also has a large wall-hung wash basin, modern non-slip tiles and grab rails where needed.

To make life a little easier and also to free up a bit of space in your car, we have portable door ramps, a wheeled shower chair, shower chair, shower stool, walking frame, commode, over bed table, bed assist frame and furniture risers all available if needed as well cots and highchairs.

A smart TV & DVD player are available in the living room as well as a selection of books, games & puzzles to enjoy. Double doors lead you out of the living room onto a patio area which has table, chairs & charcoal BBQ, an enclosed garden area and a lovely view of the river and grassy fields where the farms cows & sheep graze.

Severn Valley Railway - Climb aboard one of the SVR heritage locomotives and enjoy the stunning 16 mile full size standard gauge railway line running from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster.  Passengers can hop on & off to explore the six historic stations, also visitor centre, tea room, collection of full-sized locomotives, mail sorting room and miniature railway.  Special events and experiences are available at various times throughout the season.
Bridgnorth Cliff Railway - The country’s oldest & steepest inland electric cliff railway has been transporting residents from Bridgnorth high & low town since 1892, fully accessible to someone with limited mobility.  In Bridgnorth you can enjoy interesting shops, gardens, historic castle grounds, stunning views and a stroll along the River Severn.
RAF Museum Cosford - Award winning RAF Cosford houses one of the largestv aviation collections in the UK and also includes the national cold war exhibition.  Cosford is the only place in the UK where you can see Britain’s V Bombers: the Vulcan, Victor and Valiant.  Free entry and a brilliant day out for all to explore, packed with hands on activities and lots of stories of the RAF servicemen and women who have helped shape the world we live in today.
